On the sidelines of the Innovation in Social Housing Conference and Exhibition, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bahrain Association of Engineering Offices.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Bahrain Society of Engineering Offices signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing joint cooperation, supporting the housing journey, exchanging expertise to achieve shared objectives, improving the quality of housing services, and increasing the contribution of Bahraini engineering offices to housing projects. This took place on the sidelines of the Innovation in Social Housing Sector Conference and Exhibition.

On this occasion, Ms. Fatima Ibrahim Al Manaei, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, affirmed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the Ministry and the private sector, particularly engineering offices, given that the engineering sector represents an important partner in the development of housing services and projects. She praised the role of Bahraini engineering offices in the development and growth witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Al Manaei indicated that the memorandum of understanding aims to provide engineering services to citizens benefiting from housing services with the best and highest specifications, in addition to enhancing the role of engineering offices in the projects implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.

For his part, Eng. Faiq Juma Mandil, Chairman of the Bahrain Society of Engineering Offices, affirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors and maintaining continuous coordination to achieve shared and desired goals and aspirations. He commended the role of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in providing housing services to citizens and involving the engineering sector in development projects.
