“Al-Wadi” Housing Units in Al Buhair Fully Reserved Within Minutes of Launch on “Baity”, Announces Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, in collaboration with Eskan Bank, announced the immediate reservation of all available units in “Al-Wadi” residential project, located in the Al-Buhair area.
The announcement came within minutes of the launch of the reservation process via “Baity” real estate platform, unveiled at the joint Ministry and Bank pavilion during the “Innovation in Social Housing Sector” Summit and Conference.
“Al-Wadi” housing development comprises 76 residential units and is being implemented in partnership with Al Saraya company. It was unveiled on “Baity” real estate platform as the inaugural project under the Ministry’s newly launched “Off-Plan Sale” programme, which was introduced during the opening session of the summit.
Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and Chairperson of Eskan Bank Board, expressed satisfaction with the unprecedented demand observed just moments after the platform went live. Her Excellency noted that the rapid uptake underscores the strong confidence of Bahraini citizens in the integrated housing solutions introduced by the Ministry and Eskan Bank, particularly those made possible through strategic partnerships with the private sector. This development reflects growing public confidence in programmes that deliver accessible, high-quality housing without prolonged waiting periods.
Minister Al-Rumaihi emphasised that this momentum will further drive the expansion of key national housing programmes, including the Government Land Development Programme and the recently announced Private Land Development Programme. These initiatives aim to broaden Bahrain’s residential offering by extending support to real estate development companies to implement social housing projects on privately owned land, thereby making these units accessible to beneficiaries of the housing finance programme.
Commenting on the project’s success, His Excellency Mr. Abdulla Taleb, General Manager of Eskan Bank, highlighted that demand for the “Al-Wadi” units was overwhelmingly positive, with prospective homeowners completing the entire reservation and payment process online. Leveraging the capabilities of the “Baity” Real Estate platform and digital payment partners BENEFIT and CrediMax, citizens were able to finalise their transactions seamlessly without the need to visit bank branches—an outcome that reflects the effectiveness of Eskan Bank’s digital transformation strategy and the strength of its public-private collaboration framework.
“The swift sell-out of “Al-Wadi” units demonstrates the project’s appeal and validates the Ministry’s and Eskan Bank’s approach to innovation in the housing sector. “Baity” real estate platform is now a comprehensive and user-friendly gateway that empowers citizens to explore available properties, take virtual tours, and complete ownership procedures digitally—including contract signing and payment selection—in a secure, intuitive manner.” said Mr. Taleb.
Situated in a family-oriented environment in Al-Buhair and within close proximity to essential services, “Al-Wadi” project was thoughtfully designed to reflect the lifestyle needs and aspirations of Bahraini families. Mr. Taleb concluded that the strong public response serves as a testament to the high standards, credibility, and exceptional user experience associated with Eskan Bank projects, and also underscored the valuable role of strategic partners such as BENEFIT and CrediMax in ensuring a streamlined and secure transaction process for all beneficiaries.
