The Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector represents one of the strategic initiatives launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in collaboration with Eskan Bank, as part of national efforts aimed at developing and sustaining the social housing system. This is achieved through the adoption of innovative solutions and the expansion of partnerships with the private sector, contributing to the provision of adequate housing for citizens in line with the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
The launch of the second edition of the summit builds upon the success of the first edition and its positive outcomes, which supported innovation pathways within the housing sector, strengthened integration between government entities and private sector institutions, and showcased leading best practices and experiences at the local, regional, and international levels. This, in turn, opens broader horizons for advancing housing programs and initiatives and delivering qualitative solutions that meet citizens’ aspirations.
This direction is guided by the Royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to continue developing the housing sector through innovative solutions and strategic investments in partnership with the private sector. It is also supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who has emphasized the importance of continuing to adopt innovative initiatives that accelerate the fulfillment of housing applications and enhance the efficiency of services provided to citizens.
The second edition of the conference focuses on envisioning the future of social housing through advanced themes that include innovation in housing project development, enhancing the efficiency of sustainable urban planning, adopting innovative financing solutions, accelerating digital transformation in housing services, and strengthening strategic partnerships while promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise among all stakeholders in the housing sector.
The accompanying exhibition serves as a comprehensive platform to showcase the latest initiatives, projects, technologies, and innovative solutions in social housing, reflecting the sector’s ongoing development. It enhances opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange and attracts high-impact ideas that support the advancement of housing programs and the achievement of sustainability.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning reaffirms its commitment to continuing the development of qualitative initiatives that promote innovation in the social housing sector, support effective partnerships, and contribute to delivering advanced and sustainable housing solutions in line with the Royal directives, enhancing quality of life and supporting the Kingdom’s development journey.
